Based on pass release dates, the IPhone 7 is expected to be released on the 19th of September, 2016.
1. No Headphone Jack
"According to Apple Insider, Apple has patented a new slimmer headphone jack technology called D Jack, which has a diameter of just 2mm."
The reason behind Apple removing the headphone jack is not to piss off the consumers, but to make the phone better. No headphone jack means more space for more hardware. Apple is known to piss people off by getting rid of, or changing parts the consumers has grown accustom to (like they did with the IPhone 5 charging port). If this rumor is true, this means more money out of your pocket to buy the beats headphones that can connect into the charging port to listen to music, or Bluetooth headphones. Just know if you decide to upgrade, you'll have to flush your old no longer compatible accessories down the toilet and buy new ones.
Well then how do you expect me to tune out the rest of the world and resign in my bliss of ignorance one may ask. Apple is rumored to be releasing an adapter head that plugs into the USB lighting port which allows you to plug your headphones into that.
Removing the headphone jack also allows the phone to be much thinner than last years IPhone 6s.
3. Dual Rear facing Cameras
This rumor is believed by many to be most likely true but I'm not buying it. Even though I'm a huge Apple fan, I don't believe they intend to make their phone look this bad ass.
The second camera will help you see more color dynamics and it will also give you the option to record 4k videos at 60fps. This means smoother looking slow mos, and some other cool features that ties in to having two cameras.
Last but not least.
2. Waterproof
I'm not sure if they plan on making the IPhone 7 waterproof or water resistant but either way this is something to be exited about. Most of the high end phones of 2015 are rated IP67, this means they can survive being submerged in a meter of water for about 30 minutes before it gives.
The IPhone 7 is rumored to be rated at IP68, if this is true, it will be the first phone to posses that feature. IP68 means the phone can be dropped in a body of water as deep as 300 meters, and should be able to survive for an infinite amount of time.
And that's it guys. Hope you enjoyed this segment. Wanna hear me talk about something? Let me know in the comments down below. It does not have to pertain to technology, although this one did.
Peace.
